Confound These Ponies by superwaffle350 Confound These Ponies by superwaffle350
They Drive me to Drink!!

After seeing this chart [link] I just had to whip up my own versions. A couple of these are straight from that chart, but most are from my own demented mind. As a bit of a disclaimer I am not a mixologist, this was just for fun. I tried to color coordinate as best I could, as well as thinking about what flavors go together and what each character might order at the local nightclub. That's why Pinkie's is a cupcake and Derpy's is a muffin. There's a nice little shout out to DA's resident alkie at the bottom. Cheers Scotch!

If you actually try any of these, be sure to fill me in on what you thought of it. And remember, please drink responsibly.

Now I can imagine a bar or something for Bronies and instead of the title of House Special, it would be Best Pony.

For those who are following this chart, I tried the Butterscotch Sundae treat.
5 small scoops of ice cream
2 shots of Teacher's (Cheap scotch)
1.5 shots of Bailey's
2 tablespoons of butterscotch topping
And a splash of skin milk

It turned out a little thin and the toopping makes it seem somewhat gritty, but the treat itself is actually pretty good. I enjoyed it!

You could probably sub in some butterscotch schnapps to fix that grittiness.

Yes. as a print, people could buy it if they wanted too.

Cool! I put a bit of thought into that one. If you happen to try it, tell me what you think! I'm in need of unofficial taste-testers to tell me what works and what doesn't. The more opinions I get, the more I can adjust stuff to better fit people's tastes and the demographic.

Thanks! If you're legal in your state/province/country, go ahead and give one of 'em a shot! Just go easy at first. Some of these'll really sneak up on ya and before you know it, you'll be doing bad karaoke versions of '90s pop hits on the kitchen table. If you're just starting out, I recommend the Royal Treatment. Hold off on the Sundae unless you know you like and can handle whisky. The cocktail itself is okay, but that Scotch packs a punch.

If I can actually find the baja luna black raspberry tequilla I'll make the Lunar Vision drink tonight but it seems to be proving a challenge to find.

Hmmm...Well, I liked Baja Luna 'cause it had Luna in the name y'know. Some viable substitutes might be Chambord (French liqueur with an intense flavor of black-raspberries, fruits, herbs and honey. [link] ) Or Potter's Black Raspberry Liqueur [link] They're both bright red, so when mixing, use enough of both it and the Hpnotiq to get that royal purple. Probably more Hpnotiq than the Luna/Chambord/Potters. Not tequila, but some tequila's are kinda harsh, so it may work out better. Aim to put the Hpno and tonic water in first and add the black raspberry slowly.

Then I'll try the Chambord mix. Thanks for replying so fast. The liquor stors close very soon!

I'm trying Lunar Eclipse and Lunar Vision tonight. Yes I do plan on trying the Butterscotch Sundae recipe, but I don't know when that'll be. I'm mostly doing it out of love and respect for Butters.
To be honest, I'm not going to try all of them. I don't want to spend that much money on it, and there are only about three or four others I think I would fancy myself.
The Turntable Double Shot, the Banana Nutcase, I can't read the ingredients on Soft Spoken (The text is too small) so I can't make a call on that one, and the Rarity drink (I can't read the text for the name) might be viable for me since I already have a bottle of Bailey's.

Hmmm... I may wanna enlarge the text or add more to the deviation description. The Soft Spoken is Galliano, Chartreuse Yellow(STRONG flavor, go easy on it) and vanilla vodka. Sorta citrus-y and herbal and mellow (hopefully. That herbaciousness ain't for everyone). Rarity's is called Bourgeoise. I figure'd since she's upper middle class, aspiring to the nobility and a real consumer capitalist, the description was apt. (that's what bourgeoise means btw). If you can't find the Goldschlager, cinnamon schnapps'd work. That's basically what it is, but with gold flakes.

Anywho, tell me what you think of those Lunar libations.

Goldschlager is in almost every liquor store here. I'll have no trouble finding it.

Okay, for the Lunar Eclipse, I went two parts wine, one part creme de cassis, and a splash of Chambord. I really really like this one! It's so good. I'll need to make another one. Or four.

For the Lunar Vision, I couldn't get the color to blend properly into a purple. It just kept getting a murkier blue as I added the Chambord, but the drink itself was a very sweet and zippy. The Chambord and Curacao blend very nicely.
I did equal parts on Hypnotiq, Curacao, and tonic water then just splashed in a bit of Chamborde for the flavor I got and it's very good. A bit sweet, so be careful. You can have way too much of this way too quickly.

All in all everything has been great so far, especially the Lunar drinks. (Laugh all you want. I'm a girly drinker, hmhm)
The only one I furrow a brow at so far is the Entertainer due to it's smell, but it's very smooth with a bit of a bite. Fitting for it's namesake.

So far so good, Waffle. I'll let you know when I try another one. I'm about to have several more of the lunar drinks. They're both very good.

I guess a dark blue works better seeing as how Luna's not really purple in the first place, just kind of a slate/navy. So these actually taste good huh? This is so cool! I've got an unofficial taste-tester! Heck tell your friends if they wanna try some of the harder or more masculine stuff. Actually, the Lunars and the Amethyst are the ones I gravitated to as well. Matter of fact, all the ones you wanna try are the ones I think I'd like best. I'm not a big drinker, so more fruity ones kinda work for me. How fast do you get tanked from these?

Man.... As a brony attending Samford University this fall, I would totally try one of these for my first drink. Me and some other Bronies would totally do it.... if Samford didn't have the rule that if you get caught with any kind of alcohol you get expelled.

Bummer. Well, maybe next time you go out to a bar to celebrate a game victory or acing mid-terms or something, print this chart out and take it with you. I tried to make it so only those in the know'd get the references so you don't get that whole "You watch WHAT?!?" response.

Which ones specifically look good?

Sorry, long time no post. Personally, Twilight's drink and Luna's look pretty good. I also LOVE sprite so Celestia's will definitly be a keeper.

BTW I showed this to a samford student and GET this.

Me: Here try these when you're at the bar.
Student: (Looks it over.) You watch MLP FIM?
Me: Uh... well... no...
Student: Don't worry I won't tell. Besides... drinking one of these might make me 20% cooler.

I kid you not, thats how it went down.

Awesome dude!! :iconbrohoof1plz::iconbrohoof2plz: Yeah, I've got a few taste testers on standby, and they all really seem to like Twilight's and Luna's. If you're a first timer, stay AWAY from AJ's, Mac's, and Spike's. Too strong of stuff. I'm thinking about re-vamping Fluttershy's though. Galliano and Chartreuse might be a too herbal for some folks. I wanna maybe do something with vanilla or "whipped" vodka and Limoncello. Alot of these are already based off of desserts. Cupcakes for Pinkie, a bananas nut muffin for Ditzy/Derpy, the eponymous Butterscotch Sundae, and even Celestia's can go over ice cream. I'm thinking that UV Whipped vokda or vanilla vodka with Limoncello will give me that right color and taste kinda like a Lemon Meringue Pie.

I'm actually about to go and get the ingredients for a few of these.
The Entertainer, Mystic Amethyst, and of course, in honor of Butters herself, I'll make the Butterscotch Sundae for dessert as a starter. ♥
I just can't tell what kind of champagne that is in the Twilight drink...

I didn't really have any specific brands in mind (other than those specified in the descriptions). You get what you pay for of course, but a mid range Champagne should work. Or Prosecco, or any other sparking white wine. Remember to tell me whatcha think of 'em!

Okay, I chose a Korbel Blanc De Noirs for the champagne in the Mystic Amethyst drink and bought the ingredients for The Entertainer as well. That was $70 alone so I decided to hold off on the Butterscotch Sundae for now. (Just for now though.)
Taste testing will have to wait until a bit later though. It's not even 2 oclock here, hmhm.
Did you any portion ratios in mind or should I just try and judge it for myself?

I'd say equal parts champagne and blue raz vodka with just a hint of creme de cassis to get the right color on the Amethyst. For the Entertainer, I'd go with 2 parts each Bidardi and Hpnotiq and 1 part Sprite. $70! Wow... I am not that dedicated. You guys do realize that I've never actually made any of these right? Mostly because I can't afford the stuff.

I'll keep those ratios in mind.

It's alright, I'll give a few of them a try and tell you what I think. Maybe we can get them established somehow, hmhm.
I wanted to try the Luna drink as well. Maybe I'll do that one next.

Established? Whaddaya mean by that? Like make 'em official or something? I'd actually wanted to try gong into a bar and seeing if the barkeep'd make one of these for me. That's one of the reasons I made the names and descriptions kinda tongue-in-cheek, so only true blue bronies'd get the references and I wouldn't get odd looks.
